We strive to lead the sector in innovation, quality care and services, building excellence in long-term care through leadership, analysis, advocacy and member services. Over the course of its history, the Ontario Long Term Care Association has developed a strong tradition of using a solutions-oriented approach to advance the delivery of the care and services to meet the changing needs of Ontario’s long-term care residents.
The Ontario Long Term Care Association is the largest association of long-term care providers in Canada and the only association that represents the full mix of long-term care operators – private, not-for-profit, charitable, and municipal. We represent nearly 70% of Ontario’s 630 long-term care homes, located in communities across the province. Our members provide care and accommodation services to more than 70,000 residents annually.
Ontario Retirement Communities Association
The Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) is a voluntary non-profit association that represents operators of retirement residences in Ontario. Since 1977, ORCA has set the standard for operational excellence through its leadership in offering quality retirement living education to our members. ORCA represents over 92 percent of the retirement home sector in Ontario with members (574) providing accommodations and services to over 55,000 seniors. ORCA’s membership also includes 260 commercial members who provide products and valuable services to retirement communities throughout the province.
ORCA provides leadership in areas of education and training and supports members to meet provincial regulations, adopt best practices and promote quality and excellence in all areas of operation. ORCA also strongly promotes and advocates on behalf of its members with government and other stakeholders and positions the sector for growth and success as an invaluable service to today’s growing senior population.
Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association
The CVCA is the voice of Canada’s venture capital and private equity industry. We are focused on broadening industry awareness through market research and networking opportunities so that our members can make the best decisions for their investments. We also advocate on behalf of the industry to ensure sound public policy that encourages a favourable environment for investment.
The CVCA works alongside its members (private and public sector firms managing the vast majority of venture capital and private equity in Canada) to improve the industry and drive innovation and growth.
Not-for-profits play a unique and vital role in the provision of senior care in Ontario. They stand apart because of their commitment to putting residents first, reinvesting in care, and for their dedication to local accountability, strong community support, quality and innovation.
AdvantAge Ontario represents and supports their critical work. As the association of not-for-profit long term care, housing, and services for seniors, we connect all of our stakeholders to deliver the best possible care for seniors in an efficient, respectful way. Our unique positioning allows us to consistently give back – by working to ensure the focus is always on the people who need us most.
For 100 years, we have been influential in advocating government policies for senior care, dynamic in building strong community relationships, and rigorous in our business practices and accountability.
We believe that not-for-profit care is the best approach, one that is developed by local people for local people. AdvantAge Ontario members are dedicated to helping seniors make the very most of their lives while delivering outstanding results for Ontario’s health care system.
With a focus on advocacy and education, AdvantAge Ontario works on behalf of our members to help all stakeholders understand what the not-for-profit approach means and what it can do for the future of senior care.
